CSL has acquired a number of companies. They include: Aventis Behring, which is now known as global biotechnology leader CSL Behring; U.S. plasma collector Nabi, which helped to form the world’s premier plasma collection company in CSL Plasma; the Novartis influenza vaccine business, now integrated and known as Seqirus, the world’s second-largest influenza vaccines company; Calimmune, a leader in gene-modification and cell delivery technology; and Vitaeris, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of clazakizumab as a potential treatment option for organ transplant recipients experiencing rejection. Their combined and rich histories make CSL the innovative global leader it is today.

CSL Behring

CSL Behring is committed to the patients we serve. This commitment is reflected in our support of programs and activities for patients with rare diseases including bleeding disorders, primary immune deficiencies, hereditary angioedema, CIDP and Alpha 1 proteinase inhibitor deficiencies. We partner with patient advocacy organizations to promote quality medical care and service and to improve and expand educational and outreach efforts. We work with government authorities to ensure patients have access to care while also funding medical research.

CSL Plasma

As a leader in plasma collection, CSL Plasma is committed to excellence and innovation in everything we do. Our work helps to ensure that tens of thousands of people are able to live normal, healthy lives. We are committed to our work because lives depend on us. CSL Plasma operates one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated plasma collection networks, with more than 300 plasma collection centers in U.S., Europe and China and employs over 12,000 employees.

CSL Plasma is vertically integrated, meaning plasma collected at CSL Plasma facilities are used by CSL Behring for the sole purpose of manufacture and deliver its life-saving therapies to people in more than 100 countries.

CSL Seqirus

Derived from the expression ‘securing health for all of us’, Seqirus has public health protection at its core. This reflects the promise of our parent company CSL, founded in 1916 to save lives and protect the health of people. Our first true test came with the Spanish Influenza Pandemic and we have been committed to the fight against influenza ever since. Influenza kills. But at Seqirus, we believe it shouldn’t be that way. As the only vaccine company with a singular global focus on influenza, we work tirelessly on cutting-edge research, transformative technologies and the latest methods of production and distribution. Together with our partners we’re on the front line every day, protecting communities from seasonal influenza and global pandemic threats. Our vision is a world protected from influenza.

CSL Vifor

CSL Vifor is a strong and rapidly growing presence in nephrology and is committed to launching the next generation of therapies to truly address the full spectrum of kidney disease, with a focus on dialysis and rare disease. This is supported by our founding heritage and expertise in iron deficiency therapy, helping to support a broad range of patients in need.
