\u2018Professional services\u2019 sounds vague, but it\u2019s essentially an industry that provides support, advice, and guidance to organizations and businesses through a subset of professional skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n

Professional services firms exist in many different industries. They include lawyers, advertising professionals, architects, accountants, financial advisers, engineers, and consultants – to name a few!<\/p>\n

Consultants can work for any organization that offers customized, knowledge-based services to a broad cross-section of clients.<\/p>\n

In America, there is a set of companies known as \u2018The Big Four\u2019 (EY,<\/a> Deloitte, PwC, and KPMG). They are internationally known for their high level of quality expertise in the professional services and consultancy industry. There are many mid-sized firms as well, with standouts like Andersen<\/a> and Citrin Cooperman.<\/p>\n
