Learning and skills development will be focused on targeted solutions, primarily Renewables (Solar), Grid\u00a0 (Substation,\u00a0OH Transmission, and Distribution) and EV Charging. This program includes instructor and computer led office and role-based training, solution introductory training (solution overview and typical deliverables) and on the job assignments.\u00a0Upon successful completion of the approximate 3-week\u00a0program, the professional will transition to an Engineering Technician 1 level position.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Participation in, and successful completion of all aspects of the accelerator training program.\u00a0 Training curriculum includes, but is not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Focused, Role-Based Training, comprised of general office skills\/behaviors, Microsoft Office, technical drawing composition, and role specific design concepts\/tolls, such as AutoCad Basics and Introduction to Revit<\/li>\n<li>Solution Introduction Training, comprised of solution overviews, technician workflows and deliverables, and additional targeted solution design skills and knowledge, which may include Renewables (Solar), Grid (T&amp;D), and EV charging.<\/li>\n<li>Proven success in on initial entry level projects assignments, with enhanced support structure\/continued training opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note:\u00a0 Program continuation will be dependent on demonstrated competency assessed through various channels, such as computer based and proficiency testing and assessments and instructor evaluation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Management Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Individual Contributor<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or Certificate Preferred<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate a PC utilizing\u00a0Windows OS, exposure to Microsoft office and\/or computer graphics programs a plus)<\/li>\n<li>Practical\/construction knowledge, ideally in solar, grid\u00a0(Substation,\u00a0OH Transmission, and distribution)\u00a0or EV charging<\/li>\n<li>Geospatial aptitude<\/li>\n<li>Works effectively in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and Written Communication skills \u2013 English (bi-lingual a plus)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Competencies<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aptitude for Learning<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Time Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to travel during training program, if needed<\/li>\n<li>All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any\/all of the following: criminal\/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Work Environment\/Physical Demands<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Typical office environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Salary Plan<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>ENT: Engineering Technician<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Job Grade<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Black &amp; Veatch endeavors to make<u><a href=\"http:\/\/careers.bv.com\/portal\/3\/www.bv.com\/careers\"> www.bv.com\/careers<\/a><\/u> accessible to any and all users.
