{"id":23243,"date":"2023-10-23T11:23:30","date_gmt":"2023-10-23T00:23:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/?post_type=ra-jobs&#038;p=23243"},"modified":"2023-12-14T12:23:44","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T01:23:44","slug":"2nd-shift-manufacturing-team-member-pasadena-plant","status":"publish","type":"ra-jobs","link":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/job\/2nd-shift-manufacturing-team-member-pasadena-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd Shift Manufacturing Team Member | Pasadena Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Do you have a strong work ethic and the desire to join an organization that invests in its people through cross-training and development?\u00a0 ClarkDietrich, a leading manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing and interior and exterior finishing products in North America, fosters a work-life balance and offers competitive compensation and benefits.\u00a0 Join the ClarkDietrich team by applying to the Manufacturing Team Member position at our Pasadena, TX location.<\/div>\n<p><strong>MACHINE OPERATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sets up, operates and adjusts metal forming equipment by use of appropriate tools and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Keeps mill operating according to operating procedures and in good condition.<\/li>\n<li>Operates cutback saw in a safe manner and to order specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Keeps mill and surrounding area clean and clear of obstruction.<\/li>\n<li>Performs all change overs, using appropriate tooling.<\/li>\n<li>Changes punches and shear dies.<\/li>\n<li>Performs to machine goals.<\/li>\n<li>Displays willingness and the ability to assist in training co-workers.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties, as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>SAFETY<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Performs Lockout Procedure as required by mill specific Lockout JSA.<\/li>\n<li>Wears and maintains all required PPE.<\/li>\n<li>Understands all safety devices and their operation.<\/li>\n<li>Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to machine operation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>QUALITY<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs quality checks, to include:<\/li>\n<li>Understands and uses a tape measure to check length, width and hole spacing.<\/li>\n<li>Understands and uses appropriately a micrometer to measure thickness of the product periodically.<\/li>\n<li>Understands and performs routine checks for straightness, bow, and camber.<\/li>\n<li>Understands and performs routine checks for part dimension using appropriate tools.<\/li>\n<li>Appropriately maintains all quality paperwork in a legible manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>MAINTENANCE<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs routine maintenance and notifies maintenance personnel concerning any machine issues that might slow down production, cause a safety concern or lead to further maintenance problems.<\/li>\n<li>Assists maintenance personnel as directed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>HOUSEKEEPING<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains a clean, organized work station<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>OTHER<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists material handler with changing coils and follows reject policy on rejected steel.<\/li>\n<li>Directs, assists and trains helpers to perform necessary functions.<\/li>\n<li>Completes required paperwork to specification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"field2_right\">\n<div class=\"content\" data-ng-bind-html=\"field.content | trustAsHtml\">\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be willing to work any shift within a 24 hour period.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanically inclined<\/li>\n<li>Problem solver<\/li>\n<li>Team oriented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND\/OR EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior manufacturing experience preferred.<\/li>\n<li>The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and\/or experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.<\/li>\n<li>Standing-8 or more hours per day<\/li>\n<li>Walking- Off and on, 4-6 hours per day<\/li>\n<li>Body Positions- Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms<\/li>\n<li>Grasping- Both hands, up to 8 hours per day<\/li>\n<li>Sitting- None<\/li>\n<li>Pushing Effort- Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50 lbs.<\/li>\n<li>Pulling- Tools and finished product, up to 15 lbs.<\/li>\n<li>Climbing (ladders\/stairs)- Occasionally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer accurately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manufacturing facility &#8211;
