SUMMARY<\/strong><\/div>\n

The Team Lead works in the production department assisting the production manager. Leads by example with safety ensuring the quality of the products produced meet or exceed production goals and train new or inexperienced employees.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/div>\n
    \n
  • Verifies that non-standards orders are produced according to written instructions, according the Red Flag system.<\/li>\n
  • Troubleshoots equipment specific issues and makes appropriate adjustments.<\/li>\n
  • Prints manufacturing and material handler schedules, and not ready reports.<\/li>\n
  • Uses the manufacturing computer program to monitor orders.<\/li>\n
  • Ensures that all safety requirements are met by all employees.<\/li>\n
  • Promotes ClarkDietrich core values through actions as a role model.<\/li>\n
  • When necessary can fill in for the Shift Supervisor in a non-supervisory role.<\/li>\n
  • Demonstrates a sound work ethic and actions that are necessary for continued advancement.<\/li>\n
  • Promotes employee unity through his role as a team leader.<\/li>\n
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet the requirements of an Operator 1,2,3,4,5 & 6.<\/li>\n
  • Other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n
  • Assists the Production Supervisor be ensuring that employees are adhering to established ClarkDietrich Safety, Production and Behavioral standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.<\/li>\n
    • Wears and maintains all required PPE.<\/li>\n
    • Keeps assigned work area clean at all times.<\/li>\n
    • Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation.<\/li>\n
    • Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Mechanically inclined.<\/li>\n
      • Problem solver.<\/li>\n
      • Team oriented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        EDUCATION AND\/OR EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.<\/li>\n
        • The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and\/or experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          MATHEMATICAL SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.<\/li>\n
          • Ability to read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer accurately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            • Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.<\/li>\n
            • Standing-8 or more hours per day.<\/li>\n
            • Walking- Off and on, 4-6 hours per day.<\/li>\n
            • Body Positions- Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms.<\/li>\n
            • Grasping- Both hands, up to 8 hours per day.<\/li>\n
            • Sitting- None.<\/li>\n
            • Pushing Effort- Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50 lbs.<\/li>\n
            • Pulling- Tools and finished product, up to 50 lbs.<\/li>\n
            • Climbing (ladders\/stairs)- Occasionally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              WORK ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

              • Manufacturing facility — exposed to heat and cold.<\/li>\n
              • Personal Protective Equipment required at all times.<\/li>\n
              • Noise controlled environment.<\/li>\n
              • Activity level is high — continuous overhead crane and forklift movement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
