{"id":23816,"date":"2024-04-22T10:41:31","date_gmt":"2024-04-22T00:41:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/?post_type=ra-jobs&#038;p=23816"},"modified":"2024-04-22T10:41:31","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T00:41:31","slug":"sorter","status":"publish","type":"ra-jobs","link":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/job\/sorter\/","title":{"rendered":"Sorter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:<\/strong> The Sorter is responsible for safely and efficiently processing incoming recyclable materials so that outbound commodities are acceptable for sale to various brokers or mills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sort and segregate recoverable materials (e.g., aluminum, plastic, glass, paper, etc.) from incoming waste.<\/li>\n<li>Deposit recoverable materials safely and efficiently into appropriate chute.<\/li>\n<li>Assist other sorters on an as-needed basis with heavy or bulky items.<\/li>\n<li>Follow all Company safety policies and procedures, including stopping the conveyor belt in emergency situations.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect incoming loads for unacceptable waste; remove unacceptable items as required.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with equipment operators regarding incoming loads of special waste or other loads that require special attention.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience working in a Recycling Facility sorting recyclable materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(89, 89, 89)\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><strong>EEO STATEMENT:<\/strong> Republic Services is an equal opportunity employer.
