{"id":24486,"date":"2024-11-09T03:10:56","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T16:10:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/?post_type=ra-jobs&#038;p=24486"},"modified":"2024-11-09T03:10:56","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T16:10:56","slug":"ready-mix-driver","status":"publish","type":"ra-jobs","link":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/job\/ready-mix-driver\/","title":{"rendered":"Ready Mix Driver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Job Description Summary <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ready Mix Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of ready mix concrete to construction projects, company owned facilities or various customers.\u00a0 This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of ready mix trucks.\u00a0 Deliveries will be made in both industrial and residential areas.\u00a0 Work will be performed per the Supervisor\u2019s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Requirements<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Experience in a mix or truck with similar weight equipment is preferred, but not required.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate a manual\/ automatic transmission truck without license restrictions for either transmission.<\/li>\n<li>Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.\u00a0 Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Perform daily pre\/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions<\/li>\n<li>Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs<\/li>\n<li>Keep accurate log of deliveries and complete required paperwork for billing<\/li>\n<li>Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Load and unload equipment or materials<\/li>\n<li>Assure product quality to the best of the Driver\u2019s ability<\/li>\n<li>Must keep vehicle in clean and orderly condition<\/li>\n<li>Must be 18 years of age or older<\/li>\n<li>Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check<\/li>\n<li>Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to work night and weekends when necessary at any plant location<\/li>\n<li>Report to the assigned job site in uniform and ready to begin work at the designated start time<\/li>\n<li>Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level<\/li>\n<li>Strict adherence to Company safety requirements and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required<\/li>\n<li>Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and\/or MSHA.<\/li>\n<li>Thorough operational knowledge and skill of mixer truck and related equipment to be\u00a0operated<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety or working conditions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as being able to work\u00a0independently with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to professionally interact with customers, collect payments and assist with issues\u00a0that may arise<\/li>\n<li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, frequent lifting of extensions chutes, stretching, sitting\/driving and shifting gears<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear<\/li>\n<li>May require sitting for extended periods of time<\/li>\n<li>Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance peripheral, depth, and the ability to focus<\/li>\n<li>Required regular lifting of 25 to 50 lbs.\u00a0 Occasionally may lift up to 75 lbs.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work in all weather conditions<\/li>\n<li>While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to various changing job site conditions<\/li>\n<li>The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts;
