{"id":24538,"date":"2024-12-10T13:48:03","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T02:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/?post_type=ra-jobs&#038;p=24538"},"modified":"2024-12-10T13:48:03","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T02:48:03","slug":"general-laborer-6","status":"publish","type":"ra-jobs","link":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com\/job\/general-laborer-6\/","title":{"rendered":"General Laborer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Job Description Summary<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Quarry Laborer is responsible for general laborer duties at quarry as instruction by foreman.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Requirements<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.\u00a0 Report any problems to the Foreperson, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Perform daily pre-shift inspection followed with submission of a report for any repairs needed.<\/li>\n<li>Inspection of equipment and safety items required at the end of each shift.<\/li>\n<li>Greasing equipment as needed is required during pre-shift and at the end of each shift.<\/li>\n<li>May make normal operating adjustments to equipment.\u00a0 Job requires cleaning and washing of vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Always display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers and supervisors<\/li>\n<li>Ability to be flexible with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes.\u00a0 Overtime work required.<\/li>\n<li>Must report to the assigned job site and be ready to begin work at the designated start time<\/li>\n<li>Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew can operate at normal efficiency level<\/li>\n<li>Strict adherence to Company safety requirements and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other Quarry duties as required<\/li>\n<li>Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by MSHA.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety or working conditions as instructed by foreperson<\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as being able to work independently with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, lifting, stretching, sitting\/driving and shifting gears and pulling. Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>May require sitting for extended periods of time<\/li>\n<li>Uses hand tools such as wrenches\/screwdrivers<\/li>\n<li>Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance peripheral, depth, and the ability to focus<\/li>\n<li>Requires occasional of up to 50 lbs.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to adapt and work in all weather conditions<\/li>\n<li>The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock or burn.
