Under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse in charge of the department, the specialty technician assists the nurses in providing quality patient care and informs the nurse about any significant changes. This includes taking vital signs, transporting patients, and helping the professional nurse with interventions. The specialty technician also interacts with other departments, performs cleaning, and restocks supplies, all under the direction of the professional nurse.

Best for students ready to step up into clinical care. LPNs deliver essential patient care, working closely with RNs and doctors. You'll handle treatments, monitor patients, and play a key role in day-to-day healthcare delivery.

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation, and according to professional standards, state regulations, and in keeping with the health center mission.

Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assembles needed supplies and equipment before and during the surgical procedure while maintaining standards of care established for the patient scheduled for a surgical procedure. The surgical technician sets up the sterile field, assists with draping the patient, anticipates the surgeon's needs and hands sterile supplies and instruments to the surgeon and their assistant. Skillfully practices sterile technique. Takes assigned call.

Performs secretarial duties entering data into the computer system, filing, answering telephones, greeting patients, scheduling and making copies. Performs Film Room duties to include filing, making CDs, and pulling film jackets.

The Medical Billing Internship is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to gain experience and knowledge in various medical billing functions within the revenue cycle, including insurance verification, registration, coding, charge posting, claim submission, payment posting, insurance follow-up and denials. The intern must have basic technical and computer skills and a desire to learn the fundamentals of hospital and medical billing.
