The Kendall Group is comprised of seven divisions with over 75 locations in ten states.  We are a wholesale supply partner providing quality products, services, and solutions to manufacturers, contractors, original equipment manufacturers, and utilities across the mid-west, east coast, and southeast regions.  We serve the Electrical, Automation, Pipe, Valve, and Fittings products, Steam, Lighting, Industrial Controls, and Instrumentation Industries.

Community Involvement

We Care

Owner-Associates are actively supported in their efforts to engage with and give back to their local communities. This includes volunteering, making financial donations to approved charities, and participating in team efforts to donate their time on the company’s behalf. We encourage each Owner-Associate to connect with and contribute to the causes that resonate with them.

  • Discretionary Giving Program — Owner-Associates have the opportunity to nominate organizations in their communities to receive funding from The Kendall Group.  Local committees, comprised of Owner-Associates and leadership, select recipients from the nominations to provide the designated funds.
  • Matching Giving Program — We will match Owner-Associate donations, dollar for dollar when they give to 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations up to $5,000 a year per Owner-Associate.
  • Charitable Giving Day — Our core belief that people are our best asset is evident in our desire to support them as they support others.  Each year we offer Owner-Associates the opportunity to donate their time to a charitable organization and receive their full compensation for the day.

Kendall Electric

We provide quality products, services, and solutions to manufacturers, contractors, original equipment manufacturers, and utilities across the mid-west, east coast, and southeast regions. Since 1973, we have been a trusted name in electrical wholesale, industrial automation, and specialty sales and distribution. We have over 60 locations and 5 distribution centers, across 9 states.

Galloup

We specialize in industrial pipe, valve, and fitting distribution. Our team serves a range of customers in the commercial, industrial end users, OEMs, contractors, municipalities, government, education, and water/waste markets.

Forberg Smith

We are industry experts on instrumentation, process control, and filtration. From the initial design phase to the final commissioning, we offer industry-leading support to our customers to ensure instruments and processes perform as they should.

Relay & Power Systems

We are a full-service engineering and registered ISO manufacturing resource. The clients we serve are located in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic who produce, deliver, and consume medium and high-voltage power.

Great Lakes Automation Supply

We are Michigan’s premier Industrial Automation Distributor. Our expertise supports Programmable Logical Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to troubleshoot robotic and control applications.

Kendall Lighting Center

The area’s leading destination for decorative lighting, home accents, artwork, and more. We provide lighting layouts, lighting specifications, selection assistance, smart lighting, and lighting controls to all the markets we serve. We have 4 locations between Michigan and Indiana.

Merlo Energy

We are your manufacturer’s representative and stocking distributor of steam, condensate, hot water, and air specialty products. Our mission is to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption and emissions.

Our Benefits

Educational Assistance

We provide reimbursement of educational expenses up to $5,250 every year, which covers graduate, undergraduate, or certificate programs.

The Kendall Group Scholarship Fund

Five scholarships are awarded to a recipient that is successfully pursuing an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university. The recipient must be a part-time Owner-Associate or a legal child of a current full-time Owner-Associate.

Charitable Giving Day

Kendall can provide 8 hours of compensation to an Owner-Associate who donates their time to a charitable organization.

Discretionary Giving Fund

Owner-Associates have the opportunity to nominate organizations in their communities to receive funding from The Kendall Group.  Local committees, comprised of Owner-Associates and leadership, select recipients from the nominations to provide the designated funds.

Matching Giving Fund

We will match Owner-Associate donations, dollar for dollar, when they give to 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations up to $5,000 a year per Owner-Associate.

PTO & Holidays 

We recognize the value of personal time and provide ample paid leave that Owner-Associates can utilize at their own discretion, as well as eight paid holidays.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 

We provide a variety of support for our Owner-Associates and their families, including programs focused on wellbeing, mental health, and more.

401K 

We provide a 401(k) retirement plan for all Owner-Associates, along with a company match for a part of the Owner-Associate’s contribution.

Medical, Dental, and Vision

Owner-Associates can choose between multiple medical plans, including a Health Savings Account (HSA) with an employer contribution.

Pet Insurance

Pets Best pet insurance helps provide peace of mind to pet parents by reimbursing you for your pet’s eligible veterinary bills.

Paid Maternity Leave 

We value and understand that supportive, family-oriented policies are a key to creating an environment where Owner-Associates can excel in their careers, and we provide up to six weeks of paid maternity leave.

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 

An ESOP provides a way for Owner-Associates to accumulate shares in the company as part of their retirement savings. It’s fully funded by The Kendall Group, with no personal financial contribution required from the Owner-Associates.
