For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $80,640 – $120,960 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.  Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.  Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

What will you do?

  • Develops code to control mechanical devices used to deliver ventilation, steam, chilled water, hot water, and humidification.
  • Resolves programming problems by clarifying the project manager’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Promotes, builds, and maintains good relations with the customers, consultants, and project management; keeps supervisor informed of needs and actual or potential problems.
  • Provides technical guidance and support, including set-up, check-out, operation, and troubleshooting complex building automation and control systems; verifies the functional performance of systems.
  • Provides recommendations on equipment/systems operation and modification for energy conservation, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Performs emergency connections to neutralize alarm conditions and restore proper operation.

What qualifications will make you successful? 

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • Must have 3+ years of HVAC/BMS/BAS control systems experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, schematics, and control sequences, which may also involve various software languages and formats.
  • Ability to analyze complex control sequences and resulting operations, and to develop innovations that solve difficult technical problems.
  • Skill in dealing with customers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ability to acquire, through training and on-the-job experience, specialized knowledge in rapidly changing technology and applications.
  • Knowledgeable with controls, sensing, and actuating devices.
  • Proficient with computers, and strong verbal and written skills
