Job Summary
Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems in a manufacturing environment. Execute capital projects (equipment installation and dismantling) and perform a variety of maintenance tasks throughout the facility. Expected to work 40 hours per week on varied 8–10 hour shifts with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities

Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance.

Start machines and observe operation to detect issues and check efficiency.

Inspect/test damaged machine parts and mark defects or notify supervisors.

Lubricate or apply adhesives/materials to machines and parts.

Install, replace, or modify machine parts and attachments per production specs.

Dismantle machines and remove parts using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.

Record production, repair, and maintenance activity.

Read work orders/specs to identify repair or maintenance needs.

Set up and operate machines, adjusting controls as needed.

Transport parts, tools, and equipment using cranes, hoists, or dollies.

Collect and dispose of worn parts and debris to maintain clean work areas.

Clean machines and parts using solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to use measuring gauges (e.g., tape measure).

Knowledge of various hand and power tools.
-
Prior forklift operation experience.

Ability to understand complex technical topics and specialized information.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Basic math, reading, and writing competency.
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in stressful situations.

Ability to use hand/portable tools, gas and arc welders, forklifts, pickup trucks, testing equipment, tape measures, and computers (shop floor systems and ERP).
Education and Experience
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED.
-
1–2 years of related maintenance experience.
Preferred Experience In:
-
Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler systems.

Mechanical background with rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
Working Conditions

Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient/outdoor temperatures and dust.

Work with mechanical parts, pinch points, loud noise levels.

Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical, and chemical substances/equipment.

Confined workspaces.
