Summary:  Under general supervision, participates in the many activities of the warehouse operation.   Effectively interacts

with staff, students and faculty in conducting daily workplace duties. Contributes to a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact at the service counter, assisting customers and technicians with parts requests and inquiries
  • Support parts purchasing, including sourcing, ordering, and tracking inventory as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service by receiving verbal/written material requisitions from SSC personnel and filling the orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for purchasing, receiving, loading, unloading, storage and distribution of equipment, materials and supplies to company employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts usage, orders, and service counter transactions
  • Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as needed in a safe manner.
  • Participate in annual inventory and cycle counts
  • Use in-house computer system, internet, paper catalogs and any other means necessary to identify and source materials as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:  Sits, stands, bends, kneels, climbs stairs, ladders, and equipment, has good sense of balance to work on heights.  Some lifting of medium and/or heavy equipment and tools. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, stand for extended periods of time and will frequently be required to lift heavy materials.

Working Conditions:  Working conditions will primarily be in an office environment, however there will be some exposure to elevated degrees of high heat, noise, dust, dirt.  Work whatever hours necessary to perform job in a safe including weekends and nights..
