Our founder, J.R. Simplot and the core values he instilled in our business – Spirit of Innovation, Respect for Resources and Passion for People – have underpinned the way we have operated for generations. Our Sustainability Priorities
Preserving and Protecting the Planet we Rely on
Our connection to the Earth is paramount to everything we do. We are committed to being good stewards of the land, protecting our natural resources, and cultivating innovations that help us do more with less. We support sustainable agriculture, fishing, mining and manufacturing to safeguard resources for future generations. We continue to look for new ways to improve products, packaging and manufacturing to reduce our environmental impact, setting goals to reduce energy, carbon, water consumption and waste across our operations.
4Sight 2030 Goals
At Simplot, we are true stewards of the land, air and sea, driven to provide more plentiful, healthier food using fewer resources. Since we have all components of the agricultural value chain, we can tackle agricultural sustainability issues like nobody else, and that’s the approach we’re taking with our new sustainability goals.
Energy
Our goal: We reduced energy used over 20% per ton of product during the past 10 years, and we intend to reduce energy use an additional 15% per ton of product by 2030.
Water
Our goal: Reduce freshwater intake 15% per ton of product, reclaim and recycle water for a 50% conservation rate.
Carbon
Our goal: Reduce carbon emissions by 20% per ton of product by lowering emissions from our production facilities.

4 month training program based in Boise, ID at our Global HQ
Prepares trainees to become Sales Representatives through education and exposure to the foundations of sales roles
Allows trainees to experience each step in the supply chain process of bringing food from mine to plate
Places trainees who successfully complete the program in a field sales position placement
About the Finance and Accounting Management Trainee Program
2 year full-time role located in Boise, ID at our Global HQ
