Amsted Rail’s five North American bogie and end-of-car components production facilities set the industry standard for efficiency, innovation and quality. Wheels Manufacturing
For nearly 150 years, Amsted Rail’s Griffin Wheel® has been the proven leader in railroad wheel quality, design and service. With four wheel plants in North America, we’re committed to embracing new ideas and improving our processes to maintain our position as the leader in railroad wheel quality, design, and service.
Bearings Manufacturing
Amsted Rail’s Brenco® Bearings was founded in 1949 to manufacture bronze journal bearings for railroad freight cars. In 1959, we received conditional AAR approval for the product it is known for today throughout the worldwide railroad industry — the tapered roller bearing. We supply the majority of the North American market with dependable and reliable bearings in the most demanding environments.
